CURRENT RELIEF APPEALS

Toodyay Bushfire Appeal, 2009

 

The Toodyay community has sufferred severely from a major bushfire on 29 and 30 December 2009.

Over 37 homes have been lost and many families have lost everything. Damage is still being assessed but the impact on the community is devastating.

The Lord Mayor Lisa Scaffidi is calling on all Western Australians to contribute to the appeal to provide assistance to these families.

Donations to the appeal can be made by the following:

• Donating at any BankWest branch.
• By mail to: Toodyay Bushfire Appeal, c/- City of Perth, GPO Box C120, Perth 6839
.
• In person at the City of Perth Customer Service Counter, Council House, 27 St Georges Terrace, Perth (working hours).
• Using credit card by phoning 94613431 (working hours) (City of Perth)

The Fund will work with the Toodyay Local Recovery Committee to assist those in need.
